Course Description:
This is an introductory scientific computation course for molecular biology and genetics students.  You will understand the use of basic computational methods for solving various life science, genetics, biology and bioengineering problems. Upon on successful completion of this course, you will have a sufficient knowledge for coding, algorithm development and data visualization techniques. Besides we hope that you will analyze and apply these methods to solve complex biological problems in your future career. We would like to see you using the fundamental principles of computation and coding for quick and effective analyis of your data.
Objectives of this course:
 1. Describe and analyze a variety of data, sort and present with various plotting techniques including linear plot, polar plot, box plot, 3D etc.

2. Acquire basic coding skills for data analysis/computation.

3. Enhance your skills from raw data to presented data.

4.  Understant data analysis for biology, genetics, and health related problems.

5. Improve your practical math skills.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of introductory calculus, high school level linear algebra or equivalent is assumed. Students are also expected to have basic biology or some knowledge on life sciences. Permission of instructor.
